S3, Episode 1: Annihilator

In 2014, on a seemingly normal Thursday afternoon, Don Spirit shot and killed his entire family.  28-year-old daughter Sarah Spirit. And his 6 grandchildren: Kaleb (age 11), Kylie (9), Johnathon (8), Destiny (5), Brandon (4), and Alana (3 months).  

What would motivate a man to commit such a monstrous act? And how can we begin to understand something so utterly incomprehensible?
